Lose Weight Fast
Today, with some much knowledge available regarding weight loss, why are there so many over weight people? And it seems that it is happening to people at a younger and younger age. There is a problem though. Much of the information on the Internet has no scientific basis. The information is just not reliable but it can be very difficult to separate the good from the bad. Much of this information is misleading people on how to lose weight fast.
For most of us trying to lose weight can be a very difficult journey. Even so difficult that many people fail. If you are serious about losing weight the sensible way and ensuring that you sustain your weight loss in the future, then it is worth dispelling some of the myths that surround the weight loss and fitness industry.
Take a close look at how many weight loss plans are being marketed. The ad-men are very smart in pushing the right buttons of those who need to lose weight. You may well see a diet promising that you will lose weight fast, for example in 7 days. Yes you may well lose weight in 7 days, but only 2-3 lb of any weight lost will be fat and that is what you want to lose. Any other weight lost during the 7 days will be either water, muscle or a combination of both. Your body could actually be eating its own muscle. You won’t find that information in any of the fad diet books
Because there are is so much misleading and untruthful advertising out there, it can be very confusing and difficult for people to really know what to do. Many of the ideas you will find about how to lose weight fast will be extremely unhealthy and may even cause you to gain weight. Here are some examples.
There are numerous so-called weight loss plans, diets, or whatever you want to call them, that are simply unbelievable. Take a diet such as the Hollywood Cookie diet, juice fasting or the Grapefruit diet and follow it for a week. At best you will lose 5/6 lbs that will go straight back on the minute you return to normal eating, at worst you will feel really ill, possibly very light headed and/or headaches as your body tries to adjust to this unhealthy regime. Don’t try to lose weight this way.
Advertising has created a lose weight fast mentality that people seem to think can be achieved with little or know work. For example, visiting the gym doing low intensity cardiovascular exercises followed by 100 abdominal crunches. It is now known that the best exercise for cardio for weight loss is high intensity interval training. We also know that abdominal crunches are not the way to creating a six pack and great care needs to be taken when under taking a fitness regime to ensure you are not doing your body more harm than good. There is plenty of sensible advice around if you search hard enough.
Another lose weight fast plan will sell you on the idea that a pill will to the trick for you. Can you imaging that people actually put their faith in a pill do help them lose weight? Only thing is that some of these pills work, although they certainly are not healthy. Once you stop taking the pill the weight quickly comes back on. Taking diet pills to help you to lose weight is an absolute “no, no” and should be avoided at all costs. Weight loss is in fact an intricate science. It follows the science of how the body works. If you do not follow this correctly you will not maintain your weight loss in the future
