Tips to Lose Weight and Stay Healthy


It depends on a number of factors whether or not you gain or lose weight easily. Most people just tend to consume the wrong types of food. Just check out any of the government statistics and that will tell the tale of how unhealthy we as a society really are becoming. Generally most people think eating 3 or 4 times during the day will make you gain weight, but that isn’t necessarily true. You can actually help yourself by eating more.


I have found that eating more, but smaller portions will actually help you lose weight. When you starve yourself, your body switches to survival mode. Try eating vegetables with a starch or your vegetable with a protein. Don’t combine all three food groups. Eat more whole grain cereals like oatmeal or bran flakes. Choose low fat or nonfat milk, yogurt, cheese and cottage cheese.


Losing weight on a starvation diet can cause you to go over the edge and almost starve.


Eating disorders like anorexia and bulimia are the extreme edge of our society’s dieting mania, and are recognized as being a mental health issue. But most weight issues, like losing weight are about emotional as much as physical health. Your physical health can improve by eating plenty of blueberries, cherries and blackberries. This will promote you health and give your skin a huge increase in antioxidants. What you eat, how much you eat and how often you eat does affect losing weight. You should eat only until you are satisfied.


Eating Healthy is just one of the natural and healthy ways to lose weight fast. Try eating a variety of healthy food choices and eat small meals more often. A minimum of at least 3 meals and 2 snacks daily would be just fine. It’s much easier to digest and you won’t have time to get famished. Eating lots of foods rich in fiber helps keep food moving through your bowels. Just like water, fiber rich foods bulk you up and make you feel full.


I have found drinking a liter and a half of water when you wake up every morning does wonders for your health. Better to do this before you brush your teeth or eat. You will be pleased with the results. Your digestive system will love it and you will be rewarded with regular bowel movements as well as losing weight. If you start eating healthy to lose weight, then over time you will start to shed those unhealthy pounds. Another losing weight tip; start your day each day with a cup of boiled water with a slice of fresh lemon in it. Put the lemon in the cup and pour the boiling water over it and don’t eat anything for at least an hour.


Often people seem to over look keeping things simple. For your good health and well-being, eat right, exercise regularly and drink plenty of water. Be good to yourself. Do not over complicate losing weight. It really is a lot of common sense, but it is all about balance in life is my philosophy to lose weight.
