Lose Weight

Are you trying to lose weight? One of the easiest and cheapest routines to add to your weight loss plan is simply walking. This exercise has been greatly under valued when it comes to weight loss. Have you ever seen an infomercial trying to sell you walking equipment? Not much money to be made on a pair of good walking shoes, so you see all that expensive exercise equipment being promoted. If you are serious about losing weight and realize that it will take time, then invest in a good pair of walking shoes.

To lose weight you have to burn up more calories than you take in each day. It’s that simple. One way to help burn up calories is to become more physically active. And if you decide to cut back on the calories you take in each day, your weight loss will even speed up a bit. So if you combine walking with a reduced caloric intake you are placing yourself in a position to be successful with any weight loss program you follow. Walking is an ideal form of exercise to help you lose weight.

As you start your walking do not over do it. Walk at a moderate pace until you get the feel for how fast you can actually go. You are beginning to exercise and your body will not be prepared for this extra activity. Give yourself time to build your rate and distance. Be patient and realize that it takes time. It’s just the nature of the exercise. Walking is a time consuming activity.

How much time should you spend walking? A time frame of between 30 and 60 minutes at a moderate rate will show you results. It will take you some time to build up to the point where you can walk a hour a day so be patient. If you try to advance too quickly you could cause yourself some injury. If you can’t fit a one hour block into your day then break it up into 10 or 15 minute segments through out the day. For example a short walk in the morning, at lunch time, after supper and in the evening. You have an hour of walking in!

If you are wanting to lose weight you should plan to walk at least five or six days per week. For the total hours per week you should be walking between 5 to 10 hours. It may seem like a lot of time but it is only an hour or so per day. And the health benefits you receive will be well worth it. A simple activity such as walking can change your life. It doesn’t cost you much money and you can do it on your own schedule. However, if you find it difficult to stay motivated, get a friend or two interested in joining you. You will be a support to each other and it is a great way to lose weight.

Lose Weight with Apple Cider Vinegar

We have all seen the latest diets on TV, magazines and of course we are bombarded on the internet about the newest and hottest lose weight program. However, I am not normally a fan of what may appear as dietary gimmicks to help you lose weight, but this one really does work according to the testimonies of thousands of people who have benefited from this method.

Before starting any diet, you need to consider all the factors that could affect you. If in doubt in any way, please always check with your local health care provider first before starting. If you want to lose weight successfully with this diet then it is important to follow the instructions. First of all you need to use organic apple cider vinegar. Normal vinegars such as malt vinegar although they may aid the weight loss process are generally considered to be too acidic and also lack some of the trace elements commonly found in apple cider vinegar

Here’s how this program works. The simple recipe is to drink diluted apple cider vinegar approximately 20 minutes before each meal. If you find the taste difficult to get used to then it is acceptable to add a small amount of honey making it a more palatable drink.

Although nobody really knows for certain why the apple cider vinegar works to help you to lose weight. There are however three explanations that are considered to be credible and have some scientific basis. Vinegar promotes and enhances the body’s own natural potential to dispose of excess fat by allowing a given expenditure of energy to burn more calories than it otherwise would have, thus reducing the number of calories that are stored as fat and enabling the body to lose weight. Its like your own internal work out machine perhaps.

The extra acidity temporarily created in the stomach and other parts of the digestive system help to make the subsequent intake of food more digestible thereby leading to a more rapid passage through the bowel.

By drinking the cider vinegar 20 minutes before your meal, it acts as an appetite suppressant. This small reduction in food intake along with the other benefits mentioned can result in an improvement in the body’s ability to lose weight. But you need to be aware that this is not a lose weight quick program. It invariably takes at least a month before any tangible results will be noticed. Keep in mind, any noticeable effectiveness of the diet is often not realized until you are in month 3.

This is only one program from thousands. Each has its own unique appeal. Some will do it and many will not. However, it goes without saying that while embarking on the diet it is not sufficient to just rely on the cider vinegar to lose weight, it is vital to change your eating habits so that when you have reached your target weight you don’t revert back to your old ways and put the weight straight back on. You do need to eat healthy, watch your weight and of course exercise should always be part of any healthy lifestyle.

Lose Weight with MUFA’s

If you are over loaded with lose weight or weight loss information, you are not alone. If you are sifting your way through the myriad of diets that all sound like the answer to your weight loss prayers, I sympathize. The fact is, there is virtually unlimited information available 24/7 via the internet. However, there is no foolproof way of knowing what works and what doesn’t. More importantly there is no way of knowing if the diet is one that enables you to lose weight and then keep it off.

First, start by trying to determine if the diet has a scientific basis for its claims and whether there have been any significant trials done to ascertain if people have been able to lose weight effectively. Too many people see an ad on TV and buy it without doing any real research.

Perhaps you may or may not know this, but, did you know that you can lose weight by eating a diet high in a particular type of fat. This fat is called a MUFA – monounsaturated fatty acid. MUFA’s are the good fats you find in food like peanuts, olive oil and avocados.

Current research has demonstrated that MUFA’s help to seek out and erase your belly fat. They all also have an additional health benefit in that they help to lower your cholesterol levels in your blood and lower your risk of heart disease and strokes. Other studies have shown that MUFA’s can also help fight diabetes. Keep your artery walls smooth and untarnished and control your blood sugar levels. Not only do MUFA’s target your belly fat, but experts believe they prevent and even eliminate central fat distribution in your body which will ultimately help you to lose weight.

When you are trying to lose weight one of the most difficult things about the diet may be that it leaves you feeling unsatisfied and hungry. The higher fat content provided by the MUFA’s will have the effect of satisfying your appetite for longer. As a result you will be less likely to want to snack and also be less likely to have sugar cravings.

In addition to your diet high in MUFA’s it is also advisable to add some exercise to your dietary regime to encourage your body to lose weight more effectively.. With as little as 10 minute exercise the brain begins to produce beta endorphins, chemicals that calm you down, regulate your stress hormones and make you feel good. A recent study at the Ivy League university demonstrated that the secretion of beta-endorphins can actually offset the belly bloating effects of cortisol and insulin.

An exercise plan that will help you to lose weight will take no longer than 25 minutes a day. The plan consists of three parts:-

1. A cardio component that can be as easy as walking

2. A strength training program to build lean muscle

3. A Pilates -based workout that is excellent for building your core strength

A combination of the above will provide all you need for a successful tried and tested weight loss regime. Remember, its all about balance. With a good healthy nutrition program, combined with sensible eating habits plus some daily exercise, in time you will be back in shape.

Lose weight 913

When eating out, snack lightly before you leave. Most people eat very heavily when they feel sharp hunger. Arm yourself against this by eating some salad before you go to a restaurant. Also eat lesser than what you need will lose weight.

Most people believe that reducing weight is a very tough job. Try to replace high fat food with low fat, high fiber natural food like carrots, cucumbers and melons. Having one watermelon for dinner or lunch will greatly cut the number of calories that your body receives. It also works wonders for your skin.

Swimming is a terrific way to tone the body and get in shape with very little stress on the joints. This makes it the perfect exercise for any age; all you need is a swimsuit and to find a suitable time at the pool, many have designated adult swim times or family sessions. The first one about not swimming too well. That means you do swim a bit, and a bit is all you need to get this thing rolling. When I came back to swimming after 30 years off, I started easy, I did what I could because I knew that as time passed I'd get a little bit better and a little bit better until I was really getting somewhere. Now when I say easy, I mean easy, like 25 meters and then a rest, then another 25 meters and so on. It's like water on stone, the outcome is never in doubt, and the little drip will go right through that stone.

If you look at too big a task, you'll say, "oh forget it, it's too tough to lose 96 lbs.". Then let's do it!! And when we've got that wall knocked down, we'll go for 8 lbs. next time.!!”

Knows the time to start your to lose weight.

Lose Weight

Are you thinking about your health? Is being over weight getting you down. Well, there are many safe ways to lose weight. Hey, have you ever contemplated buying an exercise machine?

Prior to starting any weight loss program, check with your health care provider.

I am not sure about you, but have ever walked into a health shop and asked for information about how to lose weight, fat-burning or muscle-building supplements? The staff at some of those health food stores are likely to just point you to the section on lose weight products. You need to start your search by going online to Google and looking

We have all seen those ads – right? You know, those individuals that were 50 or 100 pounds over weight. They got started on some program and now only 5 or 6 months later, they are on TV in a bikini. Ya right, give me a break. You just need to be really careful and do your home work. Have you ever watched TV and listened to a fitness guru talk about an amazing new diet that helps you to lose weight in record time.

The first place like I mentioned before, is I go online and surf the web for information about diet, nutrition or weight loss programs. You will be amazed by all the information.

If you have done any of the above then the chances are you’ve been told many lies!

Unfortunately if you are looking for honest, accurate information about nutrition and how to lose weight effectively, you will find that it is harder to come by than ever before, and nearly everyone has been misled at one time or another. This may of course be that the so called guru thinks that the information they are giving is correct and may have been misled themselves. But to ensure that you are receiving or giving accurate and honest information you need to look very carefully at the scientific evidence surrounding the claims. In other words, how did they validate their results? Did they do it in a double blind, university study with controls in place or just seek out willing participants from the general public?

No matter how easily you are able to lose weight, undoubtedly you will be left with the problem of stubborn belly fat. This is particularly frustrating for women who are looking for that slim-line figure, but no matter how hard you try the problem persists.

Women are born with more fat cells than men, mainly for the purpose of protecting and nourishing our babies. So the removal of that stubborn mid section fat, can actually be a lot harder for women than for men

.

One of the most important principles in any program you may follow to lose weight is to be able to see visible results quickly. Getting rid of that bloated belly can be a great incentive for most people. Better to get rid of it from the start than be left with it at the end of your diet

So what is the cause of this bloated belly?

Ingesting foods your body is intolerant to can cause inflammation and this is one of the main reasons for a bloated belly, especially if that belly is of the pot belly variety. Inflammation and excess gas caused by undigested food particles can be a major cause of both inflammation and a bloated belly. Most people who have tried to lose weight will be familiar with the term water retention and although this can often be more prevalent in the ankles and other joints it can also be a contributory factor for a swollen midsection . For weight loss to take place it is advisable to address these underlying intolerances first especially if you want to a flat belly not a fat belly as a result. Remember, prior to starting any program, research, ask questions and check with your local health care provider if you have any concerns.
