How many news reports have you seen on TV that express concern about the the effects of obesity in our society? It seems that each year more and more people are are becoming overweight. And the alarming thing is that more and more young people are becoming over weight. Those in the health field are warning us that something has to be done to change the trend. As a result many people who have been successful at losing weight are eager to share their tips to lose weight.


Keep in mind that to lose weight you do not have to spend large sums of money for weight loss programs and fancy exercise equipment. One of the best tips to lose weight revolves around walking. Is it possible to lose weight walking? Yes it is, walking is one of the best ways to burn calories from fat and lose weight. When running you burn more carbohydrates than fat. Reducing fat is the beginning of any program to lose weight. Simply to lose weight you have to burn more calories than you consume. An easy way to do this is to walk everywhere you can.


Here is one of those tips to lose weight that you must follow, yet most people tend to ignore. If you are grossly overweight and need to lose more than 40 pounds then you probably need to see a doctor before beginning any program to lose weight. Even though walking is what we do naturally, you still must get the approval from your doctor if you plan to start a weight loss program. Modern day living tends to make us walk less and less. As individuals we have to start walking more. It is as simple as that. Tips to lose weight are not always directed at getting you to join some expensive health club or but home equipment. Ignore the rain, walk anyway, you can put on wet weather gear or use an umbrella. Walk and lose weight, get healthy. You can power walk with small weights in each hand. Improvise, carry a small bag of rice in each hand.
