The whole idea behind natural weight loss is not complicated, although it certainly can become complicated if we want it to be. But it is best to keep it simple. When we eat any food we are consuming calories and we also at the same time we  burn up calories as we go through our daily routines. If our daily activities burn less calories than we take in, then we are going to gain weight. If we do  not have enough physical activity in our normal routine of life, then we must find a way to burn more calories. Exercise is the most efficient way to do this. It&#8217;s like our body knows what is best for us, so it continues to work a little overtime to help us with weight loss. Exercise gives us that feel good factor, but it feels better knowing that our body&#8217;s continues to burn calories for a period after we have finished exercising.<br />

You&#8217;ll be much happier and more energized if you&#8217;re warm and dry instead of sweaty and chilled, and therefore more likely to continue with your exercise regime. I&#8217;m sure you have noticed just how many people are carrying around extra weight. This has become a very serious health issue and the problems will continue to grow unless people take their weight more seriously. There is no magic bullet when it comes to losing weight. It just takes some common sense and some will power to achieve <A HREF="http://healthy-weight-loss-programs.com/10/healthy-weight-loss-3/">healthy weight loss</A>.<br />

When it come to weight, women seem to have a bit more difficulty at losing those extra pounds than men do. There could be several reasons for this. Women have more body fat throughout their lives as compared to men. After menopause, women generally gain weight. Research is still conflicting as to whether this is due solely to menopause or solely to age (because men also typically gain weight as they become older), or perhaps a combination of age and menopause. Our ability to maintain weight loss is hampered also with age. I myself feel this also may be caused by my creaky knees and legs, which makes long walks a bit more difficult.<br />

It does  not matter how much weight you have to lose, you still have to make certain changes in your life style. If you fail at making those changes you will fail at any healthy weight loss plan. Whether you are trying to lose 5 pounds or more than 50, the same simple laws of physics determine whether or not you will lose weight and how fast your weight loss will occur. For people who do not have jobs that require intense physical activity, exercise or increased physical activity can increase the number of calories burned which will increase your natural weight loss.<br />

All it takes is the personal determination and accepting the fact that we will more than likely develop health problems if we do not take this issue serious. As a rough estimate, an average woman 31-50 years of age who leads a sedentary lifestyle needs about 1,800 calories per day to maintain a normal weight. A man of the same age requires about 2,200 calories. Any amount of calories less than this number will usually result in weight loss. Participating in a moderate level of physical activity (exercising three to five days per week) requires about 200 additional calories per day. As you can see, weight loss is just a matter of taking in less calories than your body burns. I know this is the scientific explanation for weight loss, but somehow, I&#8217;ve never been able to see it as that simple.<br />

There are many different theories on how to lose weight. Some may even think that it is impossible to lose weight and maintain the loss you have achieved. A diet exclusive in processed foods will almost certainly lead to disease such as cancer, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, allergies, emphysema, stomach ulcers, premature aging, impotence, hypoglycemia and arthritis. These countless diseases exist because chemically-synthesized substances disrupt the biochemistry of hundreds of billions of microscopic living cells which make up the body. Some of these diseases cause weight gain and is another reason to lose weight.<br />

The advances made by science with regards to the foods we eat has certainly had advantages. But at the same time there have been disadvantages to some of these advances. Our bodies are designed to eat natural, raw foods; there&#8217;s no doubt about that. Raw foods contain beneficial enzymes and nutrients that are destroyed through processing. To be realistic though, there&#8217;s no way we could all eat only raw foods, but it is recommended that we eat as many fresh fruits and vegetables as possible. Dieting and losing weight is not easy for the majority of people. The fact is if you are over weight, chances are it took months or in most cases, years to get to your current weight level. So what are some options and what are the best practices out there that are safe and effective? There are thousands of diets to choose from these days. All one has to do is go online to Google and search for lose weight programs. <B>Weight loss </B>is a challenge to even the most motivated of us. Changing our diets after years of bad eating habits is not easy to achieve. The problem is many of us don&#8217;t take the matter seriously enough and want to achieve miracles.<br />

Because we live in a society that wants everything instantly, we have also adopted that attitude it seems for lose weight programs. You know the ones I am referring to, lose 10 pounds in the next 7 days without changing anything you are currently doing. The fact is you need to follow sensible weight loss programs that are safe, yet effective. How many times have you tried to lose weight and wanted to see results immediately? We want the extra pounds to come off overnight. Safe and effective weight loss takes time. It took years to put on the extra weight but when we want to get rid of it we think it can be done quickly. If you are not ready to accept help then you will not be successful in your weight loss efforts. Sometimes we have to accept that some people just can&#8217;t be helped. At the end of the day we all have to be prepared to take some responsibility for our own health, and being overweight is very much a health issue. Healthy eating starts in the home and it is vital that up and coming parents do what is necessary to change the trend of unhealthy eating patterns. Even if they themselves don&#8217;t eat a particularly healthy diet there is nothing to stop them form encouraging the children to eat sensibly.<br />

If our society continues on its current path, we are in danger of becoming a population of unhealthy individuals, with a large number of people who have a particular metabolic type also being overweight or obese as a result. It can very difficult for some people to <B>lose weight</B> so why not prevent that need by not becoming overweight in the first place.<br />

We all have various opinions as to what the reasons are for this situation and what can be done about it. My own personal view is that the food industry has got us over a barrel. It is in their interest that we become overweight so that they can sell us the various dietary foods to help us to <A HREF="http://lose-weight-today.net/">lose weight</A>. If there was no such thing as obesity and being overweight, the weight loss industry would be out of work. This may be a cynical view but it may also be truer than we care to think. So do yourself and your children a favor. Get educated on healthy eating and change the current trend before it is too late. Let&#8217;s make the need to lose weight a thing of the past not a thing of the present or the future<br />
